Ainsley

Partner at Snook, one of the UK's leading Service Design businesses.

Alan has extensive strategic and brand consultancy experience, much of it at board level, directing and creating high profile marketing and brand campaigns across public, private and the third-sector organisations.  Clients have included ASDA, Tottenham Hotspur, Global Hyatt, Royal Mail, SSE, London 2012, Macmillan Cancer Support and The Scottish Government. The quality of Alan’s work has been recognised with a range of leading industry accolades, from D&AD and New York Festival Awards, to DBA Design Effectiveness Awards and Marketing Society Excellence Awards.

Alan also holds trustee and consultancy roles with several third sector organisations. He is also a regular public speaker, not just about design but also on his passion for social good. From challenging negative attitudes towards mental health, to the importance of embedding the voices of experience in designing better cancer patient pathways, through his role on the board of the £5m Macmillan funded Transforming Care After Treatment Programme.

Most recently Alan has worked with Cork County Council to embed service design within the organisation and help create Ireland’s first public service design centre, Service rePublic. He has also recently created a new mental health initiative that has been chosen by the Movember Foundation for funding and will be launched in 2017.
